This is took a while (quite a long while) so I wont it to be godlike only you can help me!!. It is about the 5110 which is my current mobile phone. Although now pushing the years it is still a very good phone. As you get the name nokia you get the main mobile phone company. I have already done a small op on the phone but I now want to do I big op. And this one is only about the 5110.
Looks
My nokia 5110 is quite nice looking phone. The dimensions are 150mm (h), 45mm (w), 27mm (l) and its 128mm(h without aerial). This worked out that the phone is around 180 cm3. This means that by today's standard it is pretty big by today's standard. It does have a aerial but it is not to big, only a few centimetres.
The other good thing about this phone is that you can get express on covers. I have two coves and I switch between the two depending on my mood. I have one with a lightning storm on the front and I have another with the West Ham united badge on it. I am a devout West Ham supporter. The West Ham case has a flip down a front on it but this does not work very well. You can think you are someone of Star Trek "beam me up Scottie".Taking all these pieces of information into account I have to give the 5110 a 8/10
Practicality
The next area I will look at is practicality. So is this a phone or is it a status symbol. It was a status symbol when it first came out but as technology has advanced it has gone from the stage of being very popular to being not popular.
I feel I my phone is very practical. It can hold up to 100 phone numbers. I have only managed to use 72 of these. The weakness is in the storage of texts. It can only hold 10 and as soon as you want to keep some you well end up deleting them.. Taking the fact that it can only hold 10 text messages I can only give it a 7.5/10
The 5110 is lade with gadgets. It has many different gadgets from a clock to a calculator. There is also the world renowned game called snake what score can you get? There is also a pairs game and a mastermind game. There are 30 tones on 5110. These will range from classic tones like Fuga and Charleston to well know tunes like the haribo tune and the trigger-happy T.V jingle. There is almost a way to work out who was the last person you called. You can also find out how long you have talked on your phone. This is quite a good feature so you can tell who you last called and check if any one has been messing with your phone. So it is jam packed with gadgets and tone so it will have to get a decent 9/10.
Ease of use
Nokia phone have always been easy to use they have had a menu button and a up and down scroll button. The menus lead to the following areas:
and these all have there own sub-menus. There is also shortcuts like if you press menu the 6 you will got to games. When you press the down button straight away you can get to your phonebook. Then pick a letter then press its corresponding number. I.e. if I wanted to phone tom I would press down then the number 8. It is very simple.
I would give it 10/10 as this is the easiest phone to use in the market. Overall I would give my nokia 5110 a 9/10 it is cheap and cheerfull. But it is starting to push the years. Well done Nokia on a great Bench mark phone
