The Nokia 3585 / 3585i / 3570 are all exactly the same with minor differences. 3585i model adds GPS position location. The 3585 / 3585 i work on AMPS 800 / CDMA 800 / CDMA 1900; whereas 3570 is meant only for CDMA 1900.
The Nokia 3570 is a low end user friendly phone. Emphasis should be put on the word "phone" since Nokia has obviously meant the 3570 to be precisely that and nothing more. In an era where any so called "phone" is actually a sophisticated communication device equipped with Infra red ports, USB, Bluetooth and what not; the 3570 stands apart for its simplicity and ease of use.
It does not boast of any excessively fancy functions. The phone however does not loose out on the standard functions. The 3570 is a CDMA handset, which works only on the 1900 Mhz frequency. The Li-Ion battery is a 850 mAh one and has talk time of about 4 hours with a standby of 9 days. The display is grayscale (high- resolution) , which Nokia mentions allows enhanced gaming. However I don't think any person who calls himself a gamer would like to be with this phone. After all there are options which allow him to go in for a 65,000 color display handset. However, obviously this is much more suitable to the pocket. The phonebook has a very good size of 500 contacts and also allows storage of multiple numbers per name. Again this shows that the 3570 is aimed at that segment which is not thrilled with the "geeky" stuff and couldn't care less whether the phone has a Bluetooth or a white one. This data capable phone allows you to transfer data , update the phonebook an calendar between the phone and PC. Browsing through the menu is very comfortable using the four way navigation keys provided on the handset.
Standard features such as a Calculator, Calendar, and Clock with Alarm are present. Four games have been pre included in the phone, these are the standard classic Nokia games (you can try them out on the net on our website). However since the 3570 supports J2ME the user can always download the latest stuff then be it games or applications. Personalization is also given priority in Nokia phones and this case is no different. The user can opt to go in for the Xpress-On covers which are sold separately but are really worth their price since they can totally change the look of the phone. Similarly you also have the option of selecting from the 30 included ring tones or downloading new tones. There is space for 10 ring tones which can be saved and replaced. The Nokia 3570 also supports MIDI file formats to be saved as ring tones. This CDMA phone also features the CDMA 2000 1xRTT technology, which is a fast wireless data transfer technology.
The phone allows text messaging and also has the T9 predictive text technology for ease in creation of messages. As mentioned before the 3570 is essentially just for talking with a few standard features thrown in.
